Mr. Milind Deora, who has recently taken over as Minister of State for Shipping, visited Shipping Corporation of India headquarters in Mumbai on Nov. 2. He evinced keen interest in the affairs pertaining to Indian shipping while discussing with the CMD and Directors of SCI.After the discussion, he expressed his concern over the downfall faced by the Indian shipping and also declining share of Indian tonnage in India’s EXIM trade.
He was very receptive in understanding the priority areas in the present scenario of Indian shipping and sought suggestions for devising mechanism to address these issues.
