GVK Power and Infrastructure Limited with some strategic partners will aim at making the Mumbai airport as one of the best airports in the world. Addressing the 18th Annual General Meeting in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Mr. G.V.K. Reddy, Chairman of the group, expressed hope that, in spite of certain hurdles, the company with some investors will be able to transform Mumbai airport into one of the best in the world. He said the execution would have been fast and smooth “if we had the luxury of access to land like the Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore airports had while developing them”. It may be pointed out here that GVK is the largest private operator; it has to its credit the transit of 44 million passengers and 6.14 lakh million tonnes of cargo.
