Far Shipping, with its headquarters in Singapore, is a performing feeder operator on the east coast of India. Some three years back, it launched its wing in India, Far Shipping (India) Private Limited and Mr.William Lee of Far Shipping Lines Private Limited described themselves as “an uncommon common feeder” and went on to say that they would customize “services to cater to the needs of our customers, the main line operators”. Far Shipping has announced now that they are starting a regular service calling at Krishnapatnam Port Container Terminal (KPCT). As of now, it will call at KPTC once in fortnight; and its service will have calls at Haldia, Visakhapatnam, and KPCT to Colombo and back. The increase in the frequency of the calls depends on the volume business it gets in the course of time. MV Ocean Probe VO24E is the vessel that will make its maiden call at KPCT in September.
