Two cruise vessels sail in at NMPT

Two magnificent cruise vessels, Seven Seas Voyager and Seabourn Odyssey arrived at New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) on Monday, December 3. Seven Seas Voyager has 454 crew members to attend to the comfort of 650 passengers while the other one has 339 crew members with 438 passengers. Seven Seas Voyager is said to be on its third voyage while the other one is on its maiden voyage to the port. As for Seven Seas Voyager, it claims to be the trailblazer “in the exclusive world of all-suite, all-balcony ships”. Seabourn Odyssey is said to be “the first in a new class of ships for Seabourn “which accommodates just 450 guests in 225 luxury suites. Out of the total passengers of the two ships, 1000 passengers chose to engage themselves on a ground tour which was taken care of by the local ground tour operators, M\s Lia Travels in 40 A/C buses.

Dr.P. Tamilvanan, Chairman, said that the captains of the two cruise ships expressed open appreciation for the facilities available at NMPT; they made a special mention about the neatness, the security arrangement and, above all, the excellent hospitality extended to them during their stay in Mangalore.

Both the delightful cruise vessels sailed out in the evening and the next call is on December 15, 2012.
