STX Pan Ocean starts a direct service from Thailand to India and Sri Lanka

Besides expanding its service from the present India-China route, STX Pan Ocean is starting a direct service from Thailand’s Laem Chabang to India’s Nhava Sheva port and Colombo in Sri Lanka, according to Thailand’s The Nation. For the new service, 3,400 TEU vessels are used and this service will connect China with Southeast Asia and India operating from ports in Xingang, Qingado, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Kelang and Colombo, also Laem Chabang and Nhava Sheva. This new service is implemented to meet the growing demand in Thai market.

The maiden voyage was on November 21 to Laem Chabang.

STX Pan Ocean is a South Korean shipping line with reputation in bulk handling, container facilities, LNG carriers and oil tankers.
