MSC increases Asia-Europe rates from mid December

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has informed its clients that it has announced an increase in its rates on Asia-Europe route by USD 600 per Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit for cargo. The increase will come into force from mid-December, this year. The increase is applicable to all the cargo from the mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Bangladesh to the ports in northern Europe, Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

The Geneva-based company is the world’s second largest container carrier with operations in all the major ports of the world with nearly 426 vessels with the capacity of 2,092,000 twenty foot equivalent units (TEU).
