
The President of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MCCIA), Mr. Ashish Padnekar, the Chairman of the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Association in India (FFFAI) and the Senior Vice President of BCHAA met the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sri Prithviraj Chavan to have a detailed discussion on the poor infrastructure and environment in and around the JN Port which was not conducive to the growth of the port and its export and import trade. They also discussed various other port related matters as well. The Chief Minister assured them that he would address the issue and he showed real concern in the improvement of the port. Mr. Ashish Padnekar took the opportunity to thank the CM for his timely intervention in solving the problem related to the land compensation to the project-affected-people. The office-bearers of the Associations present there expressed hope that all the hurdles that hamper the growth of the Export and Import Trade would be removed.
