In the JEC Asia 2012 event held at Singapore, Executive Director, Samudra Shipyard, Arun, received the award. The award was given for effective commercialization of innovative technology that transformed just ordinary traditional houseboats of Kerala into sophisticated luxury houseboats for the tourism sector. Samudra Shipyard has bagged this prestigious international recognition along with Industrial Design Centre, IIT-Bombay.
