VOC Port creates a record in handling gypsum

Mr. S.Natarajan, Chairman (in-charge) of the VOC Port pointed out in a statement that the Port created a record on Wednesday in handling gypsum and discharging 18,882 tonnes from MV Glorious Kauri. It was the highest tonnage ever achieved in a single day.

It has exceeded the earlier record of discharging 16,068 tonnes from MV.Chennai Jeyam on December 28, 2008.

The performance of the port proves itself to be moving firmly on the path of achieving its Vision: “To be the Preferred Indian Port”.
