SCI receives IPE CSR Corporate Governance Awards

A corporate governance award is a great recognition of the vital fact in corporate social responsibility; it establishes the fact that a company, apart from managing it effectively in terms of financial viability, has evinced a keen sense of social responsibility in promoting environmental awareness by its best practices. Profit is the immediate goal but service to humanity is the final vision.

The Institute of Public Enterprises awarded the CSR Corporate Governance Awards to the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) Limited, duly supported and endorsed by World CSR Congress, World CSR Day, CMO Asia and Asian Confederation of Business. The awards recognize the great fact that the company has clearly played the role of a responsible citizen to the country, no less a responsible company to its stakeholders.

Ms. Soumya G.Rajan, Assistant Manager, CSR, representing SCI, received the award from the organizers in a function held on 24th November, 2012.
