With a view to creating awareness about the Federation of Ship Agents Association of India (FEDSAI), its Vice-Chairman Arul A. Joseph recently visited Vizag and Kakinada ports in Andhra Pradesh.
According to a Press release, on the first day of his tour, along with Mr. G. Pattabhi Ramayya, (Director-FEDSAI), Mr. Joseph visited Vizag Port and met its top officials including the Chairman, Deputy Chairman and Traffic Manager and discussed with them several issues related to stevedoring.
Besides meeting the port officials, Mr. Joseph also met members of Vizag Chamber of Commerce during his visit to the port city.
In his second leg of the awareness tour, Mr. Joseph visited Kakinada Port and met different people including stevedores, Custom House Agents (CHA). During a meeting at Kakinada, he spoke elaborately about the activities of FEDSAI and appealed to the local members to be a part of the Federation.
Later, Mr. Joseph met the Andhra Pradesh Minister for Ports and Infrastructure Ganta Srinivasa Rao and explained to him the activities of FEDSAI, besides stressing the need for recognizing the role of ship agents.
