MANSA (Mumbai and Nhava-Sheva Ship-Agents Association) came out with a profuse appreciation for the excellent performance and achievements of JNPT under the able Chairmanship of Mr. L. Radhakrishnan, IAS, in the Port Advisory Committee Meeting held on 21st November, 2012. To the delight of the audience, the Chairman cut the cake, a very pleasant and apt event meaningfully arranged by the President of MANSA on behalf of the Association. The list of the achievements is definitely long and meritorious. To mention them briefly, the deepening of the alongside of the berths and the channel to 14 meters the importance of which can never be missed, undertaking many significant projects like improving the Security at ports, restoring the major 4th Container Terminal project, awarding the 330 meter extended berth to DP World, repairing and developing roads, smooth coordination with Customs and private Terminals for effective scanning of containers for timely evacuation and the replacement of old QGCs are the important aspects of the total performance of the port . MANSA took the opportunity to appreciate the Container Operation Department and the Marine Department for their excellent cooperation and co-ordination. In keeping with the etiquette, the Chairman of the port thanked MANSA for its appreciation and assured that they would continue to develop the port to the benefit of the trade and they always welcomed suggestions for further improvement.
