The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) wings of ESSAR Steel Complex at Paradeep in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district jointly observed National Energy Conservation Day.The programme on National Energy Conservation Day started with an oath taking ceremony in which employees of ESSAR Steel pledged to put to use available energy efficiently and avoid excessive or wasteful use of energy.
The gathering was addressed by senior officials USR Raju and M.K. Thakur who laid stress on the need for conserving energy and also shared tips on saving energy in everyday activities – both at work and other places. A strong contingent of officials, employees and workers then took out a rally to the various offices located inside the Paradeep ESSAR Steel Complex, raising slogans which highlighted ways and means to adopt energy conservation practices.
