Adani Hazira Container Terminal ready for services

Adani Hazira Container Terminal (AHCT), having received its customs notification on 31 October, can announce that it is ready for operations. The EDI connectivity will be installed there very soon to carry out the routine operations. Located about 120 nautical miles north of Nhava Sheva and Mumbai, the Terminal will have 2 container berths with the total length of 650 meters. It will have the capacity of 1 million TEU in the Phase 1 of the project. Four Post Panamax quay cranes and 12 Electric RTG cranes are there for the operations at the yard. Its strategic location has the advantage of effectively catering to the markets of South Gujarat, North Maharashtra and Central India.

It was dedicated to the Nation on the Independence Day, through its inaugural and symbolic call, by the SMILE service M.V. Rajiv Gandhi of Shipping Corporation of India. And, the Shipping Corporation of India will commence its operations from January 2013.

A careful success leads to successive successes.
