V. O. Chidambaranar Port Trust and Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai, jointly organized a free diabetes awareness, prevention, diagnose and treatment camp on Nov. 9 in front of the port entrance ‘Green Gate’, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and to observe Nov. 14 as “World Sugar Disease Day”.The medical camp was inaugurated by Mr. S. Natarajan, Chairman i/c of the Port Trust, in the presence of Dr. Magesh Babu, Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Madurai; Dr. Ramya, Vasan Eye Care, Tuticorin, and Dr. Jeyanthilal, Meenakshi Mission Hospital. General public from Labour Colony, Tsunami Colony, Port Colony and Tuticorin Town were benefited.
Dr. A. Annadurai, Senior Deputy Chief Medical Officer, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, had made elaborate arrangements for the conduct of the medical camp.
