Maritime show-’12 at Goa from Oct. 17

INDIA MARITIME 2012, a joint initiative taken by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to provide a platform to all participants, delegates, business visitors and other key decision makers from shipping and other related industries to interact with and explore new business avenues, is all set to begin on Oct. 17 at Panaji, Goa.

India Maritime 2012, an international exhibition and conference, is one of the leading marine industry and shipping sector trade shows in India. This four-day business event witnesses a gathering of a large number of experienced and qualified professionals from maritime sector.

Besides the participation of leading Government-run ports in the country in the highly-acclaimed maritime event, a number of private ports, country’s leading container terminal operators, captains of logistics industries and many other important players will actively participate in the conference to share their ideas for mutual growth.

According to the organizers, participating companies are provided with grand opportunities to test and market their products during the show; viable business development strategies are also deliberated upon here. The latest technological innovations and updates in the shipping sector would also be exhibited for the visitors.

Besides, a comprehensive range of cargo handling tools, IT solutions, communication systems, sea traffic management equipment and other related gadgets would be put on display at the international exhibition by over 100 companies.

The event organizers estimate that over 2000 people would attend the four-day international event.

The main attendees at the show include shipping registrars, ship owners, maritime agents, legal representatives, freight forwarders, Coast Guard, container terminal operators, logistics professionals, ship designers, boat builders, recruitment and crewing personnel, Naval architects, marine insurance agents, ship repairing experts and various maritime organization members.
