Senior IAS Officer Mr. Gautam Chatterjee has been appointed as the new Director-General, Ministry of Shipping. The new DG is a 1982 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre.A statement from the Department of Personnel and Training said that the Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Gautam Chatterjee , currently in the cadre, as Director-General ( Shipping ) under the Shipping Ministry in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
