Air Cargo launches an air cargo trade forum, ACFI

Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in Ministry of Civil Aviation, Mr. S. Machendranathan launched Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) on Wednesday in New Delhi.  The ACFI is very comprehensive in its character; it covers many stakeholders of air cargo industry such as freight forwarders, cargo terminal operators, airlines, courier and express operators, general sales agents and so on. Expressing the objective behind the formation of ACFI, the President of ACFI, and Mr. Pradeep Panicker said: “ACFI is a nationwide air cargo trade forum that aims to bring all stakeholders of air cargo sector on one platform and achieve high standards”. The Director, Logistics, Nokia, said that the ACFI would focus on New Delhi airport as its flagship. The Group President, Essar Group, Mr. Adil Malia observed: “The forum will design new growth dreams and to find the difficulties. The difference, however, will be in its approach. Instead of going back to previous comfortable methods, ACFI’s challenge will be to find new solutions to the brand new challenges”. A dedicated an ACFI website was also launched. CEO of DIAL Mr. I. Prabhakara Rao , Mr. Tushar K Jani, VC,AFCI and Mr.Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO were also other dignitaries present.
