The Union Ministry of Shipping has appointed Mr. G. Senthilvel as Financial Adviser & Chief Accounts Officer of Chennai Port Trust.
According to a Press release from the
Port Trust, prior to his appointment, he was the Chief Manager (Finance)
of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) for more than two years and had
also worked as FA & CAO of Kandla Port Trust.
He is a Cost Accountant as well as MBA
(Finance). He has wide experience in Project Management and was heading
Port Planning & Development Department of JNPT, when the Capital
Dredging Project of Rs.1,500 crores was awarded to M/s. BOSKALIS.
He is also actively involved in the construction of Ennore Port Project.
